"Dollar Dog Fridays" This Season!Tweet12/11/2007 4:00 PM
“We know how hungry our Monsters fans are for a great time and a good deal. We felt like this would be so fun and so popular that we decided to make it a season-long promotion at every Friday game. The value and excitement of seeing a Monsters game live at The Q is already tremendous and this just makes it even better. A big dog-sized thank you goes out to Sugardale, Pepsi and FSN Ohio for helping make this possible,” said Monsters president Kerry Bubolz. The hot dog is one of the most popular food items in the United States. According to the American Meat Institute, over 450 hot dogs are eaten every second of every day in the United States, or an average of 65 per person per year. Monsters fans are free to eat as many hot dogs as they wish at The Q, but there will be a limit of six hot dogs and soft drinks per transaction during Friday night games in order to make sure all fans can have their hot dog hunger and their Pepsi passion satisfied as quickly as possible. To make it even more fun, the team hosts a free post-game open skate for all fans after every Friday night home game. Fans are asked to bring their own skates to the game. “Giving fans a chance to enjoy Monsters hockey and delicious Sugardale hot dogs at a great price go hand-in-hand,” said Kristin Clemmer, Sugardale Foods director of marketing. “A refreshing Pepsi with a great hot dog makes a great combo, just like Monster fans and Monster hockey at The Q. We’re excited to be part of providing such a great value at Monsters games,” said Dan Hungerman, vice president of PepsiAmericas, Game tickets to see the Monsters play live at Quicken Loans Arena, start at just $10 and are available at the Quicken Loans Arena box office, by visiting LakeErieMonsters.com, or by calling (216) 420-0000. The Lake Erie Monsters are part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena organization and also owned by a group led by Cavaliers Majority Owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert.
