Welcome Back Weekend

This weekend, the Lake Erie Monsters return to The Q from their longest road trip of the season and will be welcoming back the fans as well. The games on Friday and Saturday against the Hamilton Bulldogs and Abbotsford Heat, respectively, will include more than just a pair of hard-hitting hockey matchups.

On Friday, the color pink will reign supreme. In support of breast cancer awareness, the Monsters will be holding their second annual “Pink the Rink” night presented by Huntington Bank, where not only will the ice reflect a hue of pink, but the players will be wearing pink jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Along with it being “Pink the Rink” night, it is also a Dollar Dog Friday presented by Pepsi, Sugardale and FOX Sports Ohio. Fans can purchase hotdogs and 16 oz. Pepsi products for only $1 and fish sandwiches will be available for just $2. Following the game, all those in attendance are invited to skate on the special pink ice during the Tri-C Postgame Open Skate. Buy Tickets

Saturday night includes a basketball star, Snuggie blankets, and a free country concert, and that’s on top of an important hockey game with playoff implications between two division rivals. Cleveland Cavaliers star Anderson Varejao has scheduled a visit to the Monsters game and will be signing autographs before the puck drops. Varejao, along with KeyBank, will be bringing Cavaliers Snuggie blankets for the first 4,000 Monsters fans to walk through the door. After witnessing Lake Erie battle a challenging Abbotsford Heat team, Monsters fans are encouraged to stick around for a free country concert by the up-and-coming band, Love And Theft. Buy Tickets
