The Lake Erie Monsters travel to Wells Fargo Arena in Iowa tonight to take on the Chops for the fourth and final contest of the regular season between the two teams. So far this season, Lake Erie is 0-2-1 against the Chops. Each game has been a one-goal loss and Iowa forward Drew Miller, the younger brother of Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller, has netted the game-winning goal in each Iowa win. After tonight, the Monsters travel to Moline, Ill., to play the Quad City Flames for the second and final time this season. In their only contest against the Flames this season, the Monsters won, 3-0, on January 14th at Quicken Loans Arena. Goaltender Tyler Weiman notched his fifth shutout of the season while captain Nathan Smith recorded the game’s first two goals. Lake Erie wraps up their nine game, 15 day road trip this weekend, when they pay a visit to the Rockford Ice Hogs on Friday and the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday.
