Hoover Arena operated by Ice Land USA will help launch the inaugural season of Monsters hockey with an intrasquad scrimmage this Saturday, September 29th at 7 p.m. The scrimmage is free and open to the general public. This partnership involves a special bond between the Monsters, a team dedicated to winning and providing a great sports and entertainment product to our region, and Hoover, a company dedicated to this region and providing innovative, quality products to our customers. We’re very proud to be part of a new relationship in the AHL,” said Chris Gurreri, President of TTI Floor Care North America. “Developing a new relationship with a local company like Hoover shows dedication by the Monsters and Hoover to further provide a quality product on and off the ice. This exceptional relationship will feature one of the most advanced practice facilities in the AHL and we can’t wait for our fans to enjoy it,” said Kerry Bubolz, Lake Erie Monsters President and Cavaliers Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales and Broadcasting. The newly upgraded facility includes a fully dedicated 5,300 square foot training room, redesigned offices for the coaching staff, top-of-the-line training room equipment, a locker room comparable to many NHL locker rooms, two NHL regulation size rinks and a glass enclosed central gallery and conference center overlooking both sheets of ice. “We are excited to be the practice facility home of the Lake Erie Monsters. We feel the Monsters franchise is an exciting, dedicated group that will be thrilling to experience on a daily basis. It is our pleasure to be a part of a brand of hockey that Northeast Ohio has never before seen the likes of,” said Bill Neihiser, Owner/Operator of Ice Land USA.
