In Saturday night's regular season finale,  the Rochester Americans held an early 1-0 lead through the first period. The Monsters tied it up just 10 seconds into the second period on a power play goal from Patrick Rissmiller.  The second period ended with the 1-1 tie.

The Americans scored 4:14 into the third to take a 2-1 lead, which would be the final score of the game. Monsters goalie Cedrick Desjardins finished with 24 saves on 26 shots.

With the loss to Rochester and wins by Charlotte and Milwaukee, the Monsters have been eliminated from playoff contention.
