As the goalie goes, so goes the team.

That has been quite evident with goaltender Tyler Weiman and the Monsters in this young season. Weiman's performance in goal has dictated that of the rest of the team. The 23-year old leftie has started the past four games, and five of the last six.

In his five games in net, Weiman is 2-3, with those two wins being the only ones of the season for the team so far. His performance in the two victories has been nothing short of exemplary. Both wins (10/20 at Syracuse, 10/27 at Iowa) came by the score of 3-2. Also in each of the games, he saved 40 of the 42 shots he faced.

A simple look at how Weiman's stats break down shows that when he brings his "A" game, it means a "W" for the Monsters:
