David van der Gulik one-timed a Malone pass from the high slot to beat Barons goalie David LeNeveu at 9:07 of the first period. Luke Walker also assisted on van der Gulik's eighth goal of the season. The goal was a power play tally, the Monsters first power play goal after a streak of six games without scoring on the man advantage. The first period ended with the Monsters leading 1-0. Oklahoma City's Josh Green scored a power play goal top-shelf on Monsters goalie Gerald Coleman at 13:06 of the second period for his second goal in as many nights, and Magnus Paajarvi scored on a wrist shot from the slot four minutes later to give the Barons a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of action. With 95 seconds remaining and Coleman pulled in favor of the extra attacker, Peter MacArthur fired a shot from the slot, and Brophey banged in the rebound to tie the game for the Monsters at 2-2. The goal was Brophey's team-leading 17th goal of the season. With 1:30 left in overtime, Dean Strong advanced a pass on the left wing for Malone, who unleashed a wrist shot in the upper far corner of the net to seal the 3-2 victory for the Monsters; the goal was his eighth of the season. Coleman stopped 34 of 36 shots, and improves to 11-4-2. LeNeveu stopped 19 of 21 for Oklahoma City, and his record moves to 15-9-4. NOTES: The Monsters could tie their longest unbeaten-in-regulation streak of the season in San Antonio Sunday... The Monsters are 19-7-2-4 in one-goal games this season... The Monsters are now 3-3-0-0 in the second game of three-games-in-three-days stretches...
