Sunday afternoon, Gerald Coleman picked up his seventh win out of 10 games played for the Monsters, leading Lake Erie to a 2-1 win over Syracuse. He had a near shutout going until midway through the third period and finished the game with 39 saves on 40 shots.
Ryan Stoa and Patrick Rissmiller scored in the second period, giving the Monsters a 2-0 lead through 40 minutes, after a scoreless first period for the two teams.
